I'm going to cheat and lump any variety of things stuck on a skewer together under the "kebab" banner. But they're Japanese style if I use a bamboo skewer instead of a metal one... right?

Skewered Beef-wrapped Mushrooms - A five-minute recipe requiring some thinly sliced beef (wafer steak, for example), white mushrooms, a few bamboo skewers, and some melted butter (optional). Wrap a narrow strip of meat around the cap of a whole small mushroom or a halved or quartered large one, depending on size. Skewer it so the skewer runs through the meat, holding it on. Brush with melted butter if you wish. Grill for a few minutes, being careful not to overcook the meat.
