Here
we have soba noodles with
konbu and stir-fried beef. Konbu is seaweed, cut into
strips and dried into what looks like a bird's nest.
Just pull off the amount you want and soak it in water
for about 15 minutes to soften it. I cut it into short
strips, about two inches long. The beef is just a little
wafer steak cut into short, thin strips and stir-fried
quickly in yakisoba sauce with the konbu. The combination
was quite tasty.
Not much I can say about the stir-fried cabbage
or strawberries, except the obvious, which is that I
like them. The daifuku
was really good, but then I've been fond of them for
a long time. They may not look like what you buy in
the stores, but the taste is dang close!
