Today's
meal was a bit experimental. The tuna
steak was new to me, and the way I cooked it is
best described as improvisational. It was tasty, but
a touch dry, so I'll be looking into other recipes.
I actually did some research beforehand, but the
recipes I found made such a big production out of it
and required so many things I don't have I just said
the heck with it, marinated it in a bit of ginger sauce,
and slapped it on my George Foreman grill.
With this are rice, steamed broccoli,
eggplant surprise, onigiri,
and kushi
dango. No recipe for the eggplant thing, as it was
literally a surprise. As in, "I've never cooked
eggplant before and I have no idea what it tastes like,
so let's see what happens when I stir-fry it."
Hey, everyone's gotta start somewhere. The result was
okay, but not worth posting to the recipe page.
We'll see if I can make something a little more worthwhile
with eggplant.
Wanna talk
about it?
