This
lunch was inspired by yet another trip to 99 Ranch Market.
One of my discoveries of the day was "seafood medley,"
which is a bag of frozen squid, octopus, mussels, shrimp,
and imitation crab jumbled together, the pieces frozen
separately so you can use whatever amount you want.
How could I resist all those invertebrates? So I grabbed
a bag, and now I have this lovely seafood yakiudon,
which includes all of the above (and you can see at
least one bit of each if you look carefully at the full-sized
photo) plus tofu, peas, and shiitake mushrooms. Up above
the yakisoba are some slices of baked Japanese sweet potato,
and in the other container is a fruit salad
with gala apple, mango, golden kiwi fruit, and grapes.
Wanna talk
about it?
