This doujinshi has a few gags. For example, Garnet defeats a hedgehog pie by hitting it with a hairball from her racket (apparently there was a problem with her regular ammo). The serious story takes place after the ship takes off, leaving Zidane behind so he can go after Kuja. Vivi and Garnet converse on the ship. Mikoto, Kuja, Zidane, and Eiko also get some screen time. Then Zidane places a feather - much like one of Kuja's - in the band of one of the hats in the Black Mage cemetery.
The serious story was hard for me to follow. It doesn't appear to be a story so much as a series of scenes following a thread, but then that's not necessarily a bad thing. Just it makes it difficult on those who can't read the bubbles.
