Here's another thingy I came up with on the spur
of the moment while looking for interesting food combinations.
Steam some broccoli florets until they're barely softened.
While they're cooking take some bacon strips and divide
them in four, cutting once across the middle and once
the long way, so you end up with four smaller, thin
strips. You'll need one of these strips for each floret.
Let the broccoli cool just enough that you can handle
it safely, and wrap the bacon around the stem, pinning
it in place with a toothpick. (If the bacon will
go around the crown, that's good too.) Then microwave
everything for a minute and a half. If you need to cook
it more so the bacon will be done enough, do so 30 seconds
at a time. When the bacon is cooked press off the excess
grease with a paper towel. Eat right off the toothpick.
